Cosinal

Privacy Policy

Last updated 2 September 2026

Who we are

Cosinal is an automated finance-brief tool, currently pre-launch. This policy covers www.cosinal.com, which today is a waitlist page. Questions: privacy@cosinal.com.

What data we collect

  • Your email address, only when you type it into the waitlist form and press Join. Nothing else is required.
  • A signup timestamp, recorded as your consent record for receiving the launch email.
  • Basic page analytics: a page-view event and a signup event, each with the page path, the referring URL, and a utm_source value if one is present in the link you arrived from. These are not tied to your email address.

We do not collect names, payment details, or any financial account information. We do not buy or sell data, and we never sell or rent your email address.

Tracking disclosure

We do not use third-party advertising trackers, and we do not run Google Analytics, Meta pixels, or similar. Analytics events are stored in our own database.

We use one item of browser storage: a sessionStorage flag so refreshing the waitlist page doesn't record a duplicate view. It clears when you close the tab and holds no personal data. No advertising cookies are set.

How long we keep it

  • Waitlist emails are kept for up to 365 days from signup, or until you ask us to delete them, or until we shut the product down, whichever comes first.
  • Unsubscribe records. If you opt out, we keep a flag on your record so we don't email you again. Ask for deletion instead and the whole row goes.
  • Analytics events are aggregate traffic data with no email attached, and are retained for the same period.

Deletion requests and your choices

  • Stop the emails: use the unsubscribe page or the link at the bottom of any email we send.
  • Delete everything: email privacy@cosinal.com from the address you signed up with and we'll remove your record within 30 days, usually the same week.
  • Access a copy: ask and we'll send you the data we hold on you, which is your email, signup time, and opt-out status.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under GDPR, CCPA, or CASL. We honour those requests regardless of jurisdiction.

Where it's stored

Data lives in a managed Postgres database with row-level access controls, reachable only by the site's administrator. Only the operator of Cosinal can read the waitlist.

Changes

If this policy changes materially before launch, the updated date above will change, and anything affecting how we use your email will be described in the launch email itself.
